Welcome to the trail network of the Greater Philadelphia Region

Greater Philadelphia's developing system of pedestrian and bicycle trails has energized communities across the region. This network - which includes the Schuylkill River Trail, Cooper River Trail, East Coast Greenway, and others - represents a potential world-class amenity, connecting the hearts of downtown Philly and Camden to surrounding counties and communities.

The William Penn Foundation invested $10 million in a program run by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission to help communities complete their portions of the trail system, ultimately to create an interconnected, region-wide network. To complement that program, the William Penn Foundation invested in creating this website.

This website is a map tool and an advocacy tool. Here you can:

  • Use one comprehensive, digitized map to explore the hundreds of miles of bike/ped trail snaking through the Greater Philadelphia Region;
  • Plan trips for recreation or transportation, learn about trail news and upcoming events, and discover trails you never knew existed;
  • Discover the many community organizations, non-profits, environmental advocates, and regional policymakers helping to build and maintain our trails;
  • Find ways you can help our regional develop a world-class system of bike/ped trails.

This site is built upon Google Maps functionality, so you can explore this map and plan trips in the same way you would use Google Maps.
